Since King Louis XV’s reign, France has been heralded as the heart of the perfume industry, so it comes as no surprise that Parfums de Marly, a Parisian brand, looks to the King for inspiration – most notably his love for horses. Translating this equestrian theme into its line of fragrances, the Maison titles each scent after a particular breed. This one, aptly named Pegasus Exclusif, celebrates the mythical creature with stimulating notes of bergamot, pink pepper and lavender perfectly harmonising with the woody base of vanilla, amber and natural oud, resulting in a scent that’s not only masculine, but asserts the kind of confidence fitting for any discerning gentleman.
